So here it is – the new Durham Regatta website!
We are really pleased with this new design which honours the rich history and tradition of the Regatta but has a contemporary, modern feel. The website is also optimised for all mobile devices – ensuring that everyone can easily access the information relevant to them.
However, this project has been about more than just building a modern website. It has also involved being clear about Durham Regatta’s vision – figuring out how we want the site to work for our two distinct audiences: the rowing community in the North of England and beyond, and the general public who are interested in a fun day out.
It was a local business writing and editing company, Concision, who helped bring clarity to Durham Regatta’s vision. They were involved in all aspects of creating the new website – from branding and copywriting to custom coding. Most website designers have their strengths, be that technical ability, or a flair for design, but rarely do you come across a company that has all the skills necessary across the board.
In the lead-up to this year’s Regatta on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June there will be regular updates on this year’s sponsors, events and format for races, and, of course, on all the attractions and entertainment on the riverbanks. Watch this space.
