The Durham Regatta prizegiving moves to a new venue this year when it takes place in the grand marquee at Durham Amateur Rowing Club.
The guest presenters for the 2024 prizegiving will be the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, Sue Snowdon, the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Durham, Councillor Liz Brown and Cambridge University oarsman Mr. Matt Edge.
Liz Brown became the 421st Mayor of Durham on June 5th.

Matt started his rowing career as a Junior at Durham Amateur Rowing Club and has competed several times at Durham Regatta, including victory on the long course in the J18 4x- in 2018. Now in his 6th year at Cambridge he is studying for a PhD in Chemistry at St. Catharine’s College.
The prizegiving starts at 8pm and will be a formal occasion with guests seated at tables. The historic Durham Regatta trophies will be on display in the marquee from around 4pm.
