Durham University enjoyed its best result for 11 years at the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) 4s and 8s Head on the River Tyne, winning the Victor Ludorum in Men’s, Women’s and Overall categories over the weekend of February 18th and 19th.
Consisting of a time trial over 5km for Championship and Intermediate crews and 3km for Beginners the Head was being staged on the Tyne for a second successive year and attracted entries from Universities and Colleges across the UK.
From 24 entries Durham achieved 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals, including
