After the set-backs of recent years we’re delighted that this weekend our visitors will be able to, once again, enjoy the full Durham Regatta experience. Alongside two days of action-packed racing, we have an exciting schedule of free bankside entertainments which we can’t wait to share with you. Entertainments are suitable for all ages and include:

Dunholm Vikings will be setting up camp with displays of weaponry, historic crafts and combat demonstrations.

Paul Dewhurst – Magician-Newcastle will be entertaining our visitors with his unique close-up magic tricks. Catch Paul on one of his bankside walkabouts and prepare to be amazed!

The incredibly talented Jesse Ward – Bubbleologist will be creating lots of bubble fun and her bubble displays are simply spectacular. Catch Jesse during one of her bankside walkabouts and see for yourself.

Dan & Sarah from Labyrinth will be showcasing their talents as highly skilled stilt walkers who promise to be both visually striking and fully interactive. We can’t wait to see them ourselves.

A whole lot of banter and laughter are promised from Captain Bullock and the gorgeous Meranda from the highly amusing Bell and Bullock Street Theatre company. See them on Sunday afternoon during one of their scheduled walkabouts.

Visit Tracey at her Festival & Fantasy stall to take advantage of our free face painting. Passionate about her work, Tracey’s creations are a work of art 😍 See examples of her work by visiting her page.

Look out for Nbk Leisure bouncy castle hire who will be on the entertainments field with a selection of fun games and large scale inflatables. These are free so don’t be shy and give them a try 🙂 They are also weather permitting so please everyone send us all your good luck vibes for two rain and wind free days 😊

No regatta weekend would be complete without our usual musical performances. Our line-up includes, Durham Music Service, Durham University Brass Band, Durham University Concert Band, and Pittington Brass.

In addition to this, we also have fairground rides courtesy of Jamie Clark Fun Fairs – please note that charges apply for these – and attractions from the armed forces and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service.

The full schedule of planned entertainments can be found on the poster.
