John Middleton from Durham Hospitals Radio with the bronze award

Durham Hospitals Radio picked up two awards at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2018 held recently in Windsor.

John Middleton won the bronze award in the Best Special Event category for his broadcast from the 2017 Durham Regatta, while Eileen Thompson won silver for Best Speech Package for her Cheviot Challenge broadcast.

Speaking of the Durham Regatta broadcast the judges said this entry showed real high quality programming and great local radio – the host is well informed and an excellent interviewer.
