Pal TV retain Broadcaster of the Year title

Durham Regatta’s broadcast partner Pal TV has won the national Student Broadcaster of the Year Award for a third consecutive year.

The team from Durham University emerged victorious with the blue riband award from the 2024 National Student Television Association (NaSTA) Awards held  at the Imperial War Museum North at Salford Quays on April 6th, following on from their successes in 2022 and 2023.

Pal TV achieved 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze category wins, including Bronze in the Live Broadcast category for their coverage of the 2023 Durham Regatta. Category awards were as follows –

Pal TV winners of NaSTA Broadcaster of the Year 2024

PalTV is Durham University’s only student-led TV station and is comprised of over a hundred students, who work in teams to produce live broadcasts, news reports, vox pops, guides to student life and original series content.

They will be broadcasting live from both days of Durham Regatta in 2024, on June 8th and 9th. This year’s broacast is sponsored by The Water House, Durham.
