Regatta entertainment finalised

The entertainment line-up for the 2018 Durham Regatta which takes place on Saturday June 9th and Sunday June 10th has been finalised.

The Regatta enclosure along the riverbank next to the Racecourse is open to the public between 8am and 8pm on both days. Tickets are £5 for adults, £2 for children and over-65s, and free for under-5s and those with disabilities.

Providing free entertainment inside the enclosure will be local magician Paul Dewhurst, Brian and Marilyn Llewellyn with their Punch and Judy show and facepainting, and street theatre duo Bell and Bullock with their participatory walkabout shows and comedy. Also in the enclosure will be the Army Cadets climbing wall and inflatable assault course, as well as Jesse Ward the Bubbleologist and the Face Fairy.

Added to this will be funfair rides, a variety of food stalls and bars, performances by local bands including Pittington Brass, and the ever-popular classic car rally.
